As the clocks go forward on Saturday 27th March 2010, Find Your Talent – PUSH is throwing light on some of Portsmouth and Hampshire’s cultural and historical treasures.

Cultural organisations will be opening their doors late into the evening and putting on an exciting programme of theatre, music, story-telling and more.

From daylight to night-time, activities will take place across the PUSH region.

Take a trip with the Nuffield Theatre and meet passengers for the Titanic, film stars from the 50s and be privy to a secret meeting with Churchill, as the historic hotel South Western House reveals its secrets.

A great opportunity to browse the Gallery’s collections and current exhibitions.
Take a relaxed look at Turner and rejoice in Handbags and Gladrags, just two of the spring exhibitions open all evening at Southampton City Art Gallery.

Join the Sarah Siddons Fan Club as they take us back to some of the most important journeys in Southampton’s history.

94 High Street. On the eve of D- Day, the people of Southampton shelter in one of the medieval vaults to avoid the bombs. Jealousy flares between a British Tommy and an American GI over stockings and a Hershey bar!

West Gate. Meet the operators of the portcullis, hear who was espied through the murder holes below, and wave goodbye to the pilgrims on their way to start a new colony in the wild Americas.

Holy Rood Church. For one family, loss of a breadwinner in the Titanic disaster casts a long shadow over the town.

Maritime Museum
TUDOR TALES - FREE

Listen as storyteller Mike O’Leary uncovers the ghosts of Southampton’s past with stories and Tudor objects.
Suitable for all ages. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

We regret that there is no public toilet available at the Maritime Museum.

A FREE heritage bus will be running to transport you between venues throughout the evening.
The bus will depart from the City Art Gallery approximately every half an hour at quarter to and quarter past the hour.
