ORPHEUS DOWN UNDER Unexpected Opera

Adapted from ‘Orpheus in the Underworld’ by Jacques Offenbach

How will Eurydice escape the suburbs and her intolerable husband, Orpheus? Offenbach’s delightfully disrespectful tale loses none of its pith and verve in this uproarious updating from Unexpected Opera, last seen at The New Theatre Royal with The Barber of Saville Row.

Full of charming songs and witty dialogue, it is performed by a cast of 12 and live musicians. Enjoy a romp with the opera that introduced the world to the Can-Can!
